Ah this is big sad news, friends. Method BJJ has closed its doors.
I did my very best and fought tooth and nail to keep the dream alive, but after a global pandemic and continuing struggles with physical and mental health, i’ve made the decision to let go.
The thirteen years that Method has been alive have been an absolutely incredible dream come true, and I have been so honoured and thrilled to share the mats with so many incredible humans and share my love of jiu jitsu.
It’s been such a joy co-creating this space of inclusiveness, safety and community while getting to beat the crap out of eachother and challenge ourselves past what we thought we were capable of.
My heart is broken in two, and i’ve got some very hard days ahead trying to make sense of my new life out of the rubble of my old life, but I’m buoyed by so many good memories of sharing the mats with you.
I love you all, and i already miss you terribly.
i hope we cross paths on or off the mats soon.
Take care of the ones who might fall through the cracks and make sure every body can have the chance to learn this beautiful art that we share.
